Adelphi University Presents a Day with the Arts with a Tony Award-winning Actress on Friday, October 16

WHAT:

High school students from Long Island will descend upon Adelphi University’s Performing Arts Center for the annual “A Day with the Arts” to give them the opportunity to discover and explore their passion in dance, music and theatre. Approximately 200 students from 14 High Schools will come together to challenge themselves. The keynote speaker this year is Tony Award-winning actress Nikki M. James, who recently ended a successful run at Lincoln Center as Natalya in the new musical Preludes. Most famously, Nikki originated the role of Nabalungi in the Broadway hit musical, Book of Mormon, in which she won the Tony for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. Her film and TV credits include Law & Order: Criminal Intent, SVU, 30 Rock, The Jury and The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby, to name a few.
