Tiberia and Dr. Lucas won the Caron Foundation Educational Excellence Institution Award for Long Island. In nominating them, Audrey Freshman, Ph.D., director of continuing education and professional development at Adelphi’s School of Social Work, praised their tireless efforts to support students who are coping with drug and alcohol addiction issues. “I honor them for their personal commitment to go above and beyond the boundaries of their jobs,” she wrote.

Noll, who has served as a student member of the Adelphi Collegiate Recovery Center Committee, will receive the Caron Treatment Center Youth Leadership Award. Her nominator praised her for lending “her voice, experience and insight” to the committee’s work to bring a collegiate recovery center to Adelphi.

All three award-winners will be honored at the Long Island Caron Treatment Center Breakfast Awards on September 21, 2016, hosted by Adelphi University’s School of Social Work.
