Daska Navia hails from the beautiful country of Chile. At four years old, her family emigrated to the US and made New Jersey their home. Theatre, and her voracious love of film became her primary tool to learn English. Lucille Ball and Humphrey Bogart taught her bilingualism but they also became her idols and inspiration for her to become a performer. At age 10, Daska performed in her first play and never looked back since. After performing in many musical theatre and straight plays throughout high school and in community theatres, Daska’s journey led her to Adelphi University. In addition to her B.F.A. training, she is an intern at International Arts Relations (INTAR). This rewarding experience has allowed her to flourish as an artist. Last summer she was accepted into the American Theatre Wing’s SpringboardNYC summer intensive program, which has provided her with even more motivation to become a performer. Daska is so excited to pursue a career in theatre, and whatever else is out there in the world for her to capture and whole heartedly devour.
