David Duke will lead Adelphi men's basketball after two years as the Associate Head Coach at Fordham University.

Adelphi University Athletics has announced that David Duke has been hired as the new head coach of the men’s basketball program after four years at Fordham University, including two as the associate head coach. Mr. Duke has extensive coaching experience as an integral part of the coaching staff that led Hofstra University to two NCAA tournaments (2000 and 2001) and four postseason national invitation tournaments (1999, 2005, 2006, 2007). In his subsequent four years at Fordham, his recruiting efforts helped elevate the talent pool considerably, leading to a resurgence of the program and an appearance in the Atlantic-10 Tournament.

“I am honored to be the new head men’s basketball coach at Adelphi University. Growing up only twenty minutes from campus, I have always known Adelphi to be an outstanding academic and athletic institution,” Mr. Duke said. “Adelphi basketball has a great tradition and I look forward to revitalizing the program and bringing back the level of success it has achieved historically.”
