Adelphi University joins an international library consortium (OLH LPS model) to make scholarly publishing fairer, more accessible, and rigorously preserved for the digital future.

We are extremely pleased to announce that Adelphi University has joined the Open Library of Humanities’ Library Partnership Subsidy system. Adelphi University is a nationally ranked, doctoral research university relentlessly dedicated to student success. First-rate teaching, scholarship and creative endeavor lie at the heart of an Adelphi world-class academic experience. As a leader in higher education, Adelphi faculty are making their mark across academic fields and country borders. Adelphi faculty members have won Fulbright Program fellowships, the Pulitzer Prize, a Guggenheim Fellowship, grants and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities, and competitive funding from the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health.
The Open Library of Humanities is an academic-led, gold open-access publisher with no author-facing charges. With funding from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the platform covers its costs by payments from an international library consortium, rather than any kind of author fee.
Professor Martin Paul Eve, a founder and academic project director of the OLH, welcomed Adelphi University: “It is brilliant to have Adelphi University on board. Open access is clearly the future of scholarly communications and, with our model, we will ensure the broadest availability of humanities research.”
