Professor Michael Driscoll in the Robert B. Willumstad School of Business was quoted in an article in the Christian Science Monitor on September 17. Professor Driscoll’s comment was regarding Wall Street’s reaction to the Federal Reserve’s tapering of the stimulus program.

Adelphi’s Annual Research Conference was featured on MyLITV. The video contains interviews with professors and students who participated in the 10th Annual Research Conference last April, including Assistant Professor of Psychology Katherine Fiori, Professor of Psychology Susan Petry, and students Jonathan Singer, Edwin Maldonado, and Lauren Pastolove.

Also featured on MyLITV was Adelphi’s Change 4 Change program, last year’s Student Legacy Campaign. The program was meant to help raise money for university improvements while encouraging students to give back to their college. Included in the video are interviews with Sylvia Zlatkova, assistant director of annual giving, Mario Guevara, executive director of Advancement Operations, and students Daniel Zider and Jenna Cavuto.

Adelphi was included on’s 2013 College Education ROI rankings and its Best Schools by Major rankings. According to the rankings, Adelphi University ranks in the top 15 percent of colleges and universities nationwide for return on investment, and was named one of the best schools for health professional majors.

Adelphi alumna Melissa Fernandez ’13 was named a Rising Latino 40 under 40 by The Hispanic Coalition, NY Inc. At Adelphi, Melissa served as president for Sigma Lambda Upsilon, was a Peer Assistant Leader (PAL), and was part of the Levermore Global Scholars Program. In May 2012, she won the President of the Year Award at the Brown and Gold Banquet and in February 2013, she was named a student leader of the month.
