IT Student Worker of the Month: December

News, Announcement

IT-Student-Worker-of-the-Month-CertificateThe staff of the Office of Information Technology would like to congratulate

Nicolas Gomez

Student Worker of the Month for December 2015

Nicolas started working in the Office of Information Technology in Fall 2015 at the Help Desk. Part of the class of 2018, he is working toward earning a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Nicolas is also a member of the Math and Computer Science Club and the GAMES Club.

Here are some of the comments we received from IT staff members who nominated him:

Nicolas began working at the Help Desk in October 2015 and is one of the newest member of the team. Majoring in Computer Science he is putting his technical know how to good use. This fall when we started opening the Library at 7:30 a.m. we found it impossible to get any student staff to fill those shifts. Nick came to the rescue and gladly works those early shifts, feeding the printers and helping the early visitors that are usually already lined up at the front door.”

It is with great pleasure that I recommend Nick Gomez as Student of the Month. I have known and observed Nick since the beginning of the Fall semester as a Student Lab Consultant and within that short time he his illustrated great focus, phenomenal work ethic and a strong willfulness to learn more. He has excelled at all the tasks of being a Student Lab Consultant by assisting students in the lab, through our live chat service and in his general duties. Personally, he is perceived as having a high degree of integrity, responsibility and ambition.”
