A senior acting major from Eugene, Oregon. She recently studied classical theatre for a semester at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.

Martha Benson is a native of Eugene, Oregon and an avid enthusiast of Shakespeare and stage combat. She recently had the honor to study under the legendary John Barton at the British American Drama Academy’s Shakespeare Masterclass in Oxford. This experience, along with studying for a semester abroad in London with London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), has sparked Martha’s passion for travel and she hopes, one day, to combine her affinity for classical theater and love of languages by joining internationally touring Shakespeare companies.

Martha is fluent in French and is excited to continue learning American Sign Language and Spanish next year while living in New York City. Martha is looking forward to spending the next five years in Manhattan working in classical theatre, developing her budding interest in screenwriting and working toward Advanced Actor Combatant status with The Society of American Fight Directors. In her spare time, Martha enjoys photography, knitting and working toward her life goal of reading all the great classical European novels.
