Jocelyn Charnas, Ph.D. ’09, known as “the wedding doctor,” was featured in The New York Times, along with Michael Garfinkle, Ph.D. ’09, and Derner Professor Lawrence Josephs, Ph.D.

The story in the Sunday, February 6, 2016, issue of The New York Times on boutique psychotherapy (“Dear Google, Is There a Shrink for That?”) featured two graduates of Adelphi’s Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies and a Derner Institute professor.

Jocelyn Charnas, Ph.D. ’09, known as “the wedding doctor” (pictured here), Michael Garfinkle, Ph.D. ’09, a psychoanalyst in New York, and Derner Institute Professor Lawrence Josephs, Ph.D., spoke about how the trend has affected their practices.
