Janet Raman ’00, M.S. ’04, Ed.D., Edmund J.Y. Pajarillo, Ph.D., and Susan Zori, D.N.P., were honored separately by three organizations—the Nurses Association of the Counties of Long Island (NACLI), the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and the March of Dimes, respectively.

Dr. Raman, assistant professor and director of the accelerated B.S. in Nursing program at the College of Nursing and Public Health, received NACLI’s Ruth W. This is an annual award for a recipient who performed distinguished leadership service at NACLI by consistently demonstrating dedication to the organization and an exemplary professional demeanor.

Dr. Pajarillo, associate professor, was appointed in November 2015 to the ANCC’s Informatics Nursing Content Expert Panel, serving from January 2016 through December 2019. ANCC panel members develop the nationally recognized ANCC Board Certification Exams and Portfolios for their specialties. Dr. Pajarillo recently became a fellow with The New York Academy of Medicine.

Dr. Zori, clinical assistant professor, received the 2015 Nurse of the Year Award in the general medical surgical category from the March of Dimes in October 2015.
