Adelphi athlete is Woman of the Year

Brenna Martini ’18 could be the most decorated athlete in Adelphi history.

A three-time All American on the softball diamond and a three-time Academic All American in the classroom, Martini was the first player to ever win three straight Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Year awards. Fittingly, she was named the NE10 Woman of the Year this summer, putting her in the running for the same award from the NCAA. She also won Adelphi’s Female Athlete of the Year award in May, which, on a Father’s Day note, is something of a family tradition: her grandfather, Joseph Martini, was the Adelphi Athlete of the Year back in 1951!
