Dear Adelphi Community,

It has come to our attention that a video surfaced this morning showcasing the transport of a student. We have confirmed that Garden City police and EMT members were on campus this morning to assist an ill student. However, please be advised that Adelphi University continues to have no confirmed cases of coronavirus within the campus community. We would like to remind you that it is influenza season and emergency medical service workers across Long Island are taking precautions to protect themselves in all transports.

We continue to monitor and communicate all developments with our community, updated regularly at adelphi.edu/coronavirus. Prioritizing your safety and health is our top concern. We continue to be in touch daily with local and state health officials, following all expert guidance and protocols.

We understand this is a time of heightened anxiety and concern. Please know that we are taking all precautions necessary to prioritize your well-being. As a reminder, Adelphi is shifting the majority of its classes to an online format from Wednesday, March 11 to Saturday, March 14, leading up to Spring Break. Information will continue to be shared with campus on a regular basis.

Best,
