Did you know that aphasia affects about one million Americans—many of them stroke victims? A new aphasia support program, run by Adelphi’s Hy Weinberg Center for Communication Disorders and offered at the Hauppauge Center, is one of a few programs of its kind in Suffolk County. Services include individual and group therapy as well as a free weekly support group for family members of those enrolled.
