When the Association of Research Libraries and Association of College & Research Libraries looked to invite prominent speakers to make presentations at its high-profile Symposium for Strategic Leadership in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, it chose Brian Lym, dean of University Libraries.

Lym was honored to accept the invitation, and addressed the symposium on May 10. Discussing the challenges of fostering diversity in academic library staffing and leadership, he used the opportunity to stress Adelphi’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.
