Adelphi University is holding its third annual Women’s Leadership Conference on Saturday, Nov. 2, at the Garden City Hotel from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The conference features panels and discussions on leadership training and professional development.

This year’s conference features two major keynote speakers. Dottie Herman, CEO of Douglas Elliman and an Adelphi alumna, is the breakfast speaker. Neha Gandhi, editor-in-chief of of Girlboss, an online resource to help women advance, is the lunch speaker. Prior to Girlboss, Gandhi was the senior vice president of content strategy and innovation at Refinery29 and held editor positions at Harper’s Bazaar, Seventeen and more.

Co-hosted by Adelphi’s Center for Career and Professional Development and the Office of Alumni Relations, the conference is centered around the theme “Becoming Your Most Powerful Self.” The topics include leadership across the generations, money management, resiliency and more.

Last year, more than 250 Adelphi alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends participated in the half-day program, which included breakout panels and a networking roundtable luncheon that will be incorporated in this year’s conference. Conference attendees will include students from high schools that participate in Adelphi’s Hispanic Community Partnership Program, a summer college-readiness program, including Sacred Heart Academy and Our Lady of Mercy.

“The conference has quickly become a premier, signature event for Adelphi and we are hoping to develop and mentor the future leaders of Long Island and beyond,” Jodie Serpico, executive director of alumni relations at Adelphi, said in a statement.

The conference is open to the public but advance registration is required.
