IT Student Worker of the Month: January 2019

The staff of the Office of Information Technology would like to congratulate Vanely Chavez as the January 2019 IT Student Worker of the Month.

Chavez is a senior majoring in computer science and works for the Help Desk.

Here are some of the comments we received from IT staff members and other student workers who nominated her:

“Vanely is very passionate about her job. She helps everyone who needs assistance with technology wholeheartedly. She’s also very patient with her customers and she answers their questions thoroughly. it’s a pleasure to work with Vanely. Whenever there’s anything I’m not certain about, Vanely is always the first person I’ll seek assistance on because she’s just very down to earth, unlike all most other people who would give me an attitude. Vanely is very knowledgeable about IT and she definitely deserves a trophy with her contribution to the Adelphi IT department.”

“She has been doing a great Job at the Help Desk. She has been improving greatly as she is learning. She is great with Customers and works hard for us.”
