A senior acting major. Last semester, Evelyn studied abroad and trained at London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts.

Evelyn Dumont, originally from Athol, Massachusetts, moved to New York to attend Adelphi University and earn her B.F.A. in Theatre. While enrolled, she learned how to hone her skills as an actor as well as how to create a passport of sorts for her to discover new places and people as an artist.

During her years at Adelphi, she worked in summer stock at the Black Hills Playhouse in South Dakota as well as sharpened her classical training at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA). She also learned of her passion for working on new plays in the Berkshires as an intern with Berkshire Playwrights Lab. Her training and experiences helped her discover a love for stage combat as she trained in Single Sword, Rapier and Dagger, Unarmed and Small Sword. While working on her craft as an actor, she keeps up her skill in playing trombone in the concert band. She has written a one woman show which she will be performing in May about women in King Arthurian legend.
