Former AD Robert Hartwell Honored with ECAC Commissioner’s Award

Longtime Adelphi Athletic Director Robert Hartwell, who oversaw the athletic department for nearly 26 years before his retirement in July 2013, was awarded the 2013 Eastern College Athletic Conference Commissioner’s Award at the 2013 ECAC Honors Dinner on September 29, 2013. Mr. Hartwell was also named the Northeast Athletic Director of the Year in 2002 by the National Association of Athletic Directors, and was a recipient of the NCAA Diversity Honor in 2008. He has also twice received the NCAA Outstanding Contribution Award.
