Information Regarding Apple’s OS Update to El Capitan

Dear Adelphi Mac Users,

Apple will be introducing a new operating system called “El Capitan” for Mac computers in September.

At this time, we ask that Mac users refrain from installing this new OS update on any Adelphi-owned computers. Our test on the beta version has identified a number of compatibility issues with software we use at the University.

Thank you for your cooperation and patience as we continue to investigate how the new El Capitan OS interacts with the University’s systems. We will advise our Mac users when we have had sufficient opportunity to evaluate the version of El Capitan that launches in September.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the Help Desk.
