IT Staff Promotions - Fall 2012

The Office of Information Technology is pleased to announce the promotions of the following staff members during the fall semester:

Don Becker was appointed as Information Security Engineer in October. Don had previously been part of the System Administration team at Adelphi since 1995. In this new position, Don works under Information Security Officer Kees Leune to continue our effort in expanding cloud based services and information security programs. This staff realignment helps to meet our security needs as well as the goals of AU2015 to provide the resources necessary to successfully implement and monitor new services and pedagogy. Don is also an Adelphi alumnus, class of ‘97, and graduated with a degree in management with a minor in marketing.

Chris Correa was promoted to Audio/Visual Communications Engineer in September. Chris has worked at Adelphi since 2007 in various communications roles: Communications Technician, Multimedia Specialist, and Communications Specialist. In his new AV Communications Engineer position, Chris has a larger role in multimedia classroom and space design, planning and coordination of vendors and trades, and staying current with the latest audio/visual technologies.

Bobby Handa  was promoted to IT Procurement Administrator in October. Bobby previously held the title of Coordinator for Computer Purchasing and had been working with Adelphi since 1999. In his role, Bobby conducts end user technology needs analysis and oversees internal purchasing procedures to ensure compliance to policies.
