IT Student Worker of the Month: August 2015

IT-Student-Worker-of-the-Month-CertificateThe staff of the Office of Information Technology would like to congratulate

Veronica Kelleher

Student Worker of the Month for August 2015

Veronica has worked with the Help Desk staff since Fall 2013.

She’s a Nursing major in the Class of 2017 and is active in the club soccer team and Student Nurses Acting for Progress.

Here are some of the comments we received from IT staff members and other student workers who nominated her:

“What sets her apart is that she really CARES. Veronica is one of the PEOPLE that make the PLACE. She is very mature and highly responsible.

“Veronica  knows what she is doing and rarely needs to ask question on how to do her job proficiently. She trains newcomers the best out of all the Help Desk Assistants. She is cordial to everyone she helps via walk-in, phone call, email and chat. She works more hours than most including at least one weekend day. She deserves this more than any other student worker I know.”

“Veronica’s calm and friendly demeanor is unwavering even in the midst of the toughest of customers. In addition to her excellent Customer Service abilities she possesses high quality technical skills and is always looking for something new and shares her knowledge and enthusiasm with all of the other student workers.”

“Veronica has exemplary initiative, leadership characteristics and most of all dependability. She is a hard-working self-starter who invariably understands exactly what a project(s) was all about from the outset, and how to get it done swiftly and efficiently. She is well respected, as both a person and a professional, by her peers, staff and faculty she services on campus.”

“Veronica has fabulous customer service skills and can calm even the most demanding of customers while quickly determining the issue and solving the problems. As a Sophomore Nursing student she is working a heavy course load while working and still finds time to participate in other campus groups and activities.”
