News, Announcement

IT-Student-Worker-of-the-Month-CertificateThe staff of the Office of Information Technology would like to congratulate

Farzana Azad

Student Worker of the Month for September 2015

Farzana has worked with the Help Desk staff since Summer 2013. She’s also been working with our Telephone Services team to answer calls.

She’s a Nursing and Psychology major in the Class of 2016 and is active in the Student Nurses Acting for Progress organization on campus.

Here are some of the comments we received from IT staff members and other student workers who nominated her:

“Farzana does a superb job in telephone services without anyone telling her what to do. She is a very trust worthy and reliable worker.”

“Farzana is always teaching me new things whether it be in telephones or in IT. She is a great person to be around and a very reliable.”

“This student  exemplifies strong characteristic and customer services skills working both as a help desk assistant and telephone services. She is trained on two different areas however excels in it. “

“Adelphi is so lucky including me to have such a very caring and qualified student as Farzana. All I have to tell her is something once and she has it. She is extremely capable of not only telephone services but of helping out in the IT department and I cannot rave about her enough.”

“Farzana works very well between her two jobs as telephone operator and lab consultant.”

“This student goes above and beyond what the average student worker does at the front of the Help Desk. She is constantly asking what else needs to be done and completes all assignments given to her quicker than her coworkers. If we had more student workers like her the Desk would run like clockwork. She is the first to help any customers that come up to us and is always very polite to them and knows exactly how to speak with them whether they need assistance, a guest account, or some thing else.”

“She’s a great worker and also willing to help around. she also is very dedicated to her work.”
