Language Students Win Entry into National Honor Societies

April 19, 2013 was a day filled with excitement and good news for our students and their families. The French, Italian, and Spanish Honor Societies’ induction ceremonies took place along with the presentation of departmental awards.

In addition to celebrating our students’ success, we continued a tradition begun last year with another vocal performance by our own Professor Hiller on the piano, this year of Bellini’s “Vaga luna che inargenti”!

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Professor Carbo, a member of the distinguished Orden de los Descubridores 2012, presented to Mr. Robert Hartman, Adelphi ’54, the Orden of Descubridores 2013. Thanks to the generosity of Mr. Hartman, Adelphi has the has a new scholarship in Spanish.
