Lynoska Garcia, Student Worker of the Month for May 2017
The staff of the Office of Information Technology would like to congratulate Garcia on her achievements.
Garcia is a Computer Science major in the class of 2020 with concentration in Information Security. She started working at the IT Help Desk in January 2017 as a Lab consultant. She is now in training for a Help Desk Assistant position.
Hailing from Queens, Garcia is involved in Adelphi’s Cyber Security Club, Student Activities Board and Commuter Student Organization

“She is a fast learner and enjoys helping others by sharing knowledge and helping them learn too. Lynoska is fluent in Spanish and English. She participates in several campus organization like the Commuter Student Organization, Student Activity Board, CyberSecurity Club, and an Adelphi Bridges Mentor.”“Lynoska has shown great ambition since she began working here a few months ago. She has learned very quickly and is always eager to do so. She is very flexible with her schedule, always willing to cover shifts and help friends and our office in times of need. She is ambitious and eager to learn and work hard at all times. She is definitely deserving of student worker of the month.
About IT’s Employee of the Month Nominations
It is important to demonstrate our appreciation for the contributions of our student workers to their teams, to the Office of Information Technology, and to Adelphi University as a whole. At the end of each month, we will honor one student worker who has demonstrated commitment, leadership, and initiative in their position. The recipient will be presented with a certificate and gift, as well as a featured spot on our IT website.
All IT employees (including student workers) are encouraged to submit nominations for their choice for Student Worker of the Month. Your nominee should display qualities deserving of recognition.
