Margot R. De Sevo, PhD, LCCE, IBCLC, RNC – BS Syracuse University 1973, MA and PhD New York University 1976/1991, respectively — has worked as a staff nurse at NYU Medical Center and Phelps Memorial Hospital and as an Infectious Disease Nurse at The New York Hospital. She holds certifications in: Inpatient Obstetric Nursing, Lamaze Childbirth Education, and Lactation Consultation. She has taught maternity and pediatric nursing at the following schools of nursing: Cornell U.- NYH, The College of New Rochelle, and Adelphi University and has written a number of articles on maternity care and genetics issues for nurses. A second edition of her review text, entitled Maternal-Newborn Success: A Course Review Applying Critical Thinking to Test Taking, was published by F.A. Davis in 2013.
