New admissions strategy produces one of largest incoming classes ever

News

Faced with competitive challenges made even tougher by New York state’s launch of the Excelsior Scholarship program, Adelphi upped its game by creating an innovative personalized admissions process.

The new strategy called for connecting applicants with individuals in the Office of University Admissions and other University departments at every step of the application process, and included an invigorated marketing program. The results were outstanding, with an almost 10 percent rise in applications, leading to a class that is likely to be the second largest in the school’s history.
