Pruning Your Board

Many nonprofit leaders suffer from some degree of angst when confronted with what to do about inactive or unproductive members of the board.  A recent article fromGuidestar offers some ideas about what do about board members who are not able to fulfill their roles. Bill Hoffman, the author, stresses that it is important that “pruning” be a board-driven process and not simply the executive’s initiative.
