Himalaya is the current Graduate Assistant for the Social Work Department collaborating with multiple intercollegiate offices to bring quality programming and services to the commuter student population here at the Manhattan campus.

Ileana Fohr is the school’s new B.S.W. representative for the National Association of Social Workers.  Originally from Guatemala. she has worked with Safe Horizon’s Anti-Trafficking Program since 2001. She is pursuing her B.S.W. at Adelphi University. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Mental Health from LaGuardia Community College and a certificate from the International Trauma Studies Program at NYU.  Ileana believe that as social workers, we are key to meaningful system and policy changes to help disadvantaged populations become independent and lead better lives.
