UC Progress: Food Truck Locations and Other Dining Options

Dear Adelphi Community,

We’re so excited that the new academic year is under way, and Adelphi University is bustling with activity again! We hope you are finding your way to classes and meetings and to the many dining options located throughout the campus. We are writing today to let you know that in response to feedback from the community, effective tomorrow, Wednesday, August 28, the four food trucks that have been located outside of Center for Recreation and Sports (CRS) will be moving to more central locations on our Garden City campus. For your convenience, all of this information can be found on our UC Progress Dining Page.

El Toro Rojo Mexican food and Gary’s Steaks will move to the plaza in front of the Performing Arts Center (PAC).

Mama’s Cuban Kitchen and STUF’D Sandwiches will move to just outside Swirbul Library, to form a food court with the Adelphi food truck that is serving bagels in the morning and Asian food for lunch and dinner, and the food cart dedicated to Halal food outside of the Nexus building.

Barbecue lunch will continue to be served for free to students Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (and to faculty and staff on Friday), in the large tent on the residence hall quad, until the Panther’s Den Dining Hall opens.

In addition, throughout campus, look for the gold banners to find many more dining options. From Post Hall, PAWS Café and PACafé to Cheese Please and Legends Juice Bar, our full complement of additional dining locationsare open.

Welcome, Panthers! And feel free to email us if you have any questions!

Sincerely,

The UC Progress Team
