Mintz holds a Master of Science from Brooklyn College, a Master of Social Work degree from Adelphi University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hunter University. She is a longstanding member of the Real Estate Board of New York.

Having graduated from Adelphi University with her BA in arts and MA in education, she is best known for her drawings of female subjects and draws her inspiration from everyday life and walking through the streets of New York City. Binford created a series called the “Curly Girl Series,” which is inspired by women of color from many walks of life.

Dancing Through College & Beyond is a national event which serves over 300 high school students annually and aims to form personal connections between the current generation of dance professionals and the next.
