Support Group for Women with Breast Cancer, Age 40 and Under

The Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Program, located in Garden City, is offering a weekly support group for women under the age of 40, who are diagnosed with breast cancer. “These women have unique needs and seek support from their peers,” says Erin Nau, LCSW, Counseling and Education Coordinator at the Adelphi Program, “They are grappling with the same concerns and questions—‘I thought I was too young to get breast cancer,’ they say.” This group is member driven focusing specifically on the needs of the members.
